HUD editor

Open the HUD editor from any HUD element's Edit Position button in the click GUI. Every HUD element you have turned on shows up, so you can line them up against each other. The element you opened it from is selected, and shows even when it's turned off.

  • Click an element to select it. The selected one has an accent outline and the green scale handle in its bottom right corner.
  • Drag an element to move it. It snaps to the quarter, third and half lines of the screen.
  • Drag the green square, or scroll, to scale the selected element.
  • Reset puts the selected element back to its default position and scale.

Snapping elements together

Drop an element just under another one to snap it there. While you drag near a spot it can snap to, that element is outlined in green and the hint at the top names it. Once dropped, the snapped element stays under it:

  • It moves along when you move the element above it.
  • It lines up with the left edge, or with the right edge for elements on the right half of the screen.
  • When the element above changes height, say the Player List losing a row, it eases into its new spot instead of jumping.

A line joins each snapped element to the one it's under, and the bottom right of the editor says what the selected element is snapped to and its margin.

The margin is the gap between a snapped element and the one above it, 2 pixels by default. Hold Shift and scroll over the editor to change it for the selected element, up to 24 pixels, which helps when a drop shadow or border needs room. It's also the Snap margin setting on every HUD element, which only shows while that element is snapped.

Drag a snapped element away to free it again. If the element above is turned off, a snapped element stays where it was.
