Clutch

Saves yourself from falling.

Trigger

Chooses when clutching should activate. The drop is measured from where the simulation says you will land, not from a straight line down.

  • ALWAYS: always attempt a clutch
  • ON VOID: only when the simulation runs out of world without landing
  • ON LETHAL FALL: only when the drop would do more damage than you have health, or you are heading into the void
  • FALL DISTANCE: only when the drop is deeper than Blocks, whether or not it would kill you

Blocks

Minimum drop depth, in blocks, for FALL DISTANCE mode.

Only on combat damage

Only arm after you have been hit recently, so it stays out of the way when you jump off something deliberately. Ignored: fall damage, fire and lava, drowning, freezing, starving, the void, and standing in cactus, sweet berries, magma or powder snow.

Damage window (ticks)

How long Clutch stays armed after being hit.

Behaviour

Auto ladder

Fall back to a ladder rescue when a block path cannot reach in time. Needs ladders in your hotbar, which are then excluded from normal clutch blocks.

Allow staircase up

Repeated jumps in quick succession queue a staircase, letting Clutch catch you one level higher than the plain fall would.

Search depth

How many blocks Clutch may chain together to reach the catch spot.

Search radius

How wide a ring around your predicted position Clutch sweeps for blocks to build off. The sweep is biased along the way you are moving.

Fail delay (ms)

How long to wait before trying to find a route again after a failure.

Limit blocks

Refuse a clutch that would need more than Max blocks.

Clutch move delay

Ticks of movement freeze after a clutch completes, so you do not immediately walk back off the edge.

Rotations

Speed

Maximum flick speed, in degrees per tick, when placing blocks.

Reset angle

Look back to your original angle once the clutch is done.

Reset angle delay

Ticks to wait before resetting the angle.

Items

Return to last slot

Select the slot you were holding before the clutch once it completes.

Return delay

Ticks to wait before restoring the slot.

Blacklist

Do not clutch with these blocks.

Held whitelist

Only clutch while holding a whitelisted block, and only use the held block.

Show block count

Show the number of blocks left in the modules list, or the number of placements remaining while a clutch is running.
